URBAN LIVING
DESIGN CONCEPT I SAN FRANCISCO, CA

This charming home in sunny Potrero Hill retains its original Edwardian facade and interior traditional cove ceiling, while a new rear facade is comprised of modern industrial glass and steel. New rear decks with glass railings grace the facade and take advantage of the unique city views -- layered with a local brewery in the foreground, the skyscrapers of downtown, the Bay Bridge and ultimately the East Bay hills beyond. The lower level is becomes a guest room ensuite with doors that fold open to the rear yard, an art studio and storage. , A new wood and steel stair with custom steel screen cuts through all three levels joining the floors together artfully. The main level retains the existing entry, while the living room is opened up to a bespoke kitchen, built-in breakfast nook and dining room. The upper level is reconfigured into a primary ensuite with a glass wall to take in the view. A third bedroom also has its own bathroom. Reclaimed wood floors, chartreuse moroccan tiles, Nero Marquina and Carrera marble, blackened steel and a mix of custom and vintage lighting create a unique, bohemian-modern home.
